The Road Transport sector forms the backbone of our economy, connecting factories, ports, farms, warehouses, and businesses across Kenya and the region. TWU represents thousands of workers along the road transport value chain.

Workers/Occupations Represented:

    • Long-distance truck drivers (local, regional, and cross-border)
    • Transit and container freight drivers
    • Fuel and hazardous cargo tanker drivers
    • Matatu / PSV (Public Service Vehicle) drivers
    • Bus and intercity coach drivers
    • Delivery drivers (company-based and agency-based)
    • Turn boys / loaders / conductors
    • Fleet supervisors and transportation logistics staff
